Responsibilities
- Perform setup and preparation of equipment/supplies for ordered test.
- Review the patient's history, obtain any necessary information or documentation, and provide education to the patient about procedures.
- Monitor and document the patient's condition at all times and report any adverse reactions.
- Operate and maintain a variety of equipment to obtain diagnostic data, which may include EEG (Electroencephalography), EP (Evoked Potential), and PSG (Polysomnography) equipment.
- Recognize and correct for artifacts.
- Score/graph, document, and report results of diagnostic procedures.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date:
- Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET)
- Technologist specializing in Neurophysiologic Intraop Monit credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET)
- Technologist specializing in Evoked Potential credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET)
- Tech specializing in Nerve Conduction Study
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program
- At least one year of experience
