Electroneurodiagnostic Associate

About the Role

We are searching for an Electroneurodiagnostic Associate who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will learn to perform high-quality electroencephalograms (EEGs) and long-term monitoring for epilepsy. The training program is consistent with the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET) competencies, American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS), and American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET) guidelines.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete classroom and lab training, including required coursework, assignments, and attendance requirements while maintaining academic standards.
• Evaluate patients in collaboration with Electroneurodiagnostic (END) technologists, assessing mental state, comprehension, and capacity to cooperate during procedures.
• Assist END technologists with patient interactions, accommodating disabilities and special needs.
• Develop skills in inpatient documentation, including:
  • Patient information (name, DOB, MR number, referring physician).
  • Pertinent patient and familial medical history.
  • Current medications and time of last dosage.
  • Patient’s mental, behavioral, and conscious state.
• Document appropriately in electronic medical records and recording systems.
• Develop skills to perform standard EEGs and maintain recording excellence in collaboration with END technologists, including:
  • Applying 10/20 head measurement and electrode application accurately.
  • Performing routine EEGs and recording maintenance in accordance with ACNS guidelines and ASET competencies.
  • Proficient data entry into electronic medical records and EEG recordings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred associate degree).
• Preferred experience in a healthcare or related setting.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
