Position Overview
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electromechanical Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and process improvement of mechanical equipment, automated PLC’s, robotics and other computer-controlled equipment used to support production operations. Additional responsibilities may require working with project and utilities staff to support production needs and organizational initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Perform repairs, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting for all electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems to support both production and non-production related equipment in accordance with established standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot programmable device configurations and systems hardware to resolve maintenance issues.
- Focus on improving equipment reliability, minimizing equipment downtime and support improvement activities for productivity and yield enhancement.
- Assist in the execution of process validation, tooling or package development testing to support organizational efficiency and process improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering and other cross functional groups to ensure equipment downtime is communicated in a timely fashion and that decisions are in alignment with productions needs and overall company initiatives.
- Adequately document all work in company computerized maintenance management system to ensure complete compliance with company policies and standards.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable regulatory requirements while following the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices.
