The export control statement might be considered legal; but it's substantive? It's about eligibility. Might be considered legal boilerplate; but it's specific to the job. The instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. The export control statement is legal; likely should be removed. However, it's repeated twice. We'll drop it. - Also note: "Charter Casting is formerly Charter Aarrowcast" - maybe minor metadata; could be included in About the role? Might be considered minor; but we can include in About the role paragraph. - Also "This position may include access to controlled information or technology under U.S. export control laws." repeated; we drop. - Also "We offer comprehensive health..." duplicate of benefits; we can merge. We have: - High School Diploma or GED - We can help with our free GED program - Accredited electrical apprenticeship, two years technical training with two plus years’ industrial electromechanical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience - Experience in reading and interpreting complex documents such as wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, instructions, safety rules, code books and specifications - Ability to inspect electrical systems, equipment, and machines for possible problems - Knowledge of medium voltage power distribution systems - Knowledge of drives, controls, motion controllers, PLCs, and/or motors - Basic knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic commissioning and troubleshooting experience - Experience in working with electrical codes and regulations, electronic controls and devices and electrical/electronic theory - Experience operating electrical and mechanical testing equipment - Ability to use a wide variety of metal working, hand, and power equipment - Experience using precision measuring equipment and welding / torch equipment - Ability to use math skills including fractions, percentages, geometry, and probability - Ability to read and understand technical procedures - Good verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work well with other employees - Proficient in basic computer skills - Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures Physical Requirements: Frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, bending, lifting up to 60 lbs., and ability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation Nice to have: Journeyman's card, Experience in foundry or metals, Experience commissioning and troubleshooting Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs and Drives, Proven expertise in AC/DC motor maintenance, HVAC Certification or maintenance experience, Industrial electrical troubleshooting, and hydraulics & pneumatics, Relevant industry certifications preferred We could treat Requirements as the mandatory items (education/experience). Qualifications as nice-to-have? Or Skills as abilities. But we have separate headings for Requirements, Qualifications, Skills. We need to decide content for each. Given the posting, we could map: - Requirements: Education/experience minimums (HS diploma/GED, accredited electrical apprenticeship, two years technical training with two plus years’ industrial electromechanical experience, or equivalent combination). Also maybe ability to read/complex documents, knowledge of medium voltage, etc. But those could be skills. - Qualifications: Nice to have items (Journeyman's card, foundry experience, Allen Bradley/Siemens PLC experience, AC/DC motor expertise, HVAC certification, industrial electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics & pneumatics, relevant industry certifications). - Skills: Specific abilities like inspecting electrical systems, knowledge of drives, controls, PLCs, motors, hydraulic/pneumatic commissioning, electrical codes, operating testing equipment, metal working equipment, precision measuring, welding/torch, math skills, reading technical procedures, communication, teamwork, basic computer skills, lockout/tagout. We also have Physical Requirements; could be part of Requirements or separate but we don't have a heading for Physical Requirements; we could include under Requirements as a bullet.
