Basic Qualifications

  • Ten years’ minimum experience with all aspects of mechanical design and test, including layout and design documentation.
  • Ability to lead designs and/or teams and work with minimal supervision to complete tasks.
  • Proficient with Pro Engineer CREO and Windchill or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills for generating analysis plans and reports, documentation and proposals are necessary.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance.

Job Description

You will be the Electro Mechanical Engineer for the Microwave Systems Engineering Team. Our team designs, develops, and manufactures cutting edge microwave electronics that power the next generation of aerospace platforms. We blend RF/microwave, analog/digital, and thermal mechanical expertise, using modern CAD tools, an on site state of the art electronics fab, and comprehensive ESS test capabilities.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Electro Mechanical Engineer you will lead the design and development of tactical hardware—including housings, heat sinks, CCA’s, PCBs, hybrids, and cabling—while collaborating with a cross functional team to create test and production support hardware such as automated test equipment, fixtures, and tooling. This role supports the RF Microwave Group in Andover, MA, and positions you at the heart of a fast paced, high impact program.

  • Acting as the electro mechanical lead, steering design reviews and driving hardware maturation from concept to production.
  • Performing thermal, structural, and tolerance analyses to ensure robust performance.
  • Partnering with engineering, planning, procurement, PP&C, CDM, manufacturing, and test groups to hit key program milestones.
  • Accelerating design life cycles while preserving top tier quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Investigating failures or anomalies in units under test (UUT), fixtures, and test equipment, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Building detailed CREO models and producing precise drawings for tactical, production, and test hardware.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate BOMs, part records, assemblies, and documentation within Windchill PLM.
