About the role

A Technician II performs hands-on electromechanical assembly of sophisticated medical-device products, including robotic/digital systems and surgical power tools.

A typical day starts with the team's Tier 1 meeting, where the team reviews prior-day performance, discusses expectations for the current day, and receives assignments. The technician then receives their work orders and assembly tools and works through defined manufacturing operations step-by-step to assemble the assigned robot/digital product or power tool. Work continues through the required operations until completion, and technicians may also participate in final testing of the finished assembly.

  • Read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Assemble electromechanical components/systems
  • Use appropriate tools to complete assigned work orders
  • Follow manufacturing procedures exactly
  • Perform or support final testing
  • Work toward established production targets
  • Identify when an issue is related to the process versus the assembly/work itself
  • Ask for assistance rather than improvising outside the procedure

  • Electrical assembly
  • Mechanical assembly
  • Medical-device manufacturing
