About the role
Performs assembly of sub-assemblies and inspection systems containing electronic, mechanical and inspection components by following work instructions, production drawings to required quality standard in line with the planned production schedule.
Responsibilities
- Sub-assembly and system assembly in line with Quality ISO 9001 procedures
- Contribute towards achieving the daily production plan.
- Follow work instructions & process sheets & communicate any deficiencies/ ambiguities in either to your line manager(supervisor)
- Maintain the working standards in line with operational organisation and the 5S policies.
- Ensure that all relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures are observed.
- Perform other duties and tasks as required by the business.
Requirements
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
- Basic understanding of Electrical principals
- A flexible and proactive approach.
- The ability to respond to changes in demand and meet deadlines.
- The ability to produce assemblies following work instructions and to self-check own work.
- Able to use electrical test equipment for example multi meters.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, lean environment.
- Experience in computer-based material control/business systems and excellent team skills.
- Highly organized, accurate and disciplined in maintaining an orderly work area.
- Able to apply the principals of the 5 “S” methodology.
Qualifications
- Good hand/eye coordination and mechanical/electrical aptitude
- Must be able to distinguish colors.
- Ability to work with computer-based systems for data entry
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in reading and writing in English
- Minimum of two years related experience
