About the role

The role supports our high-volume STERLING Vikrell tub and shower manufacturing operations across our Production and Distribution facilities. This is a hands-on position aimed at learning the skills of the trade, with responsibilities including assisting in maintenance operations, ensuring a safe work environment, and performing various tasks like tool preparation, part cleaning, and equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in all operations to learn the skills of the trade.
  • Absorb materials for jobs and deliver parts to the shop for repair.
  • Clean and condition parts to be repaired.
  • Assist Mechanics in moving and assembling production equipment.
  • Retrieve necessary tools and equipment from the storeroom as directed.
  • Keep tools clean and in order.
  • Become familiar with and apply all types of lubrication.
  • Support Maintenance Mechanics with equipment repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Participate in the Safety and Good Housekeeping Programs as established within the plant.
  • Perform other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Trained on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies and procedures.
  • Obtain forklift certification and operate forklift.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in the US without restrictions or sponsorship.
  • Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Mechanical proficiency and willingness. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Maintenance. Associates degree in Electro-Mechanical technology or equivalent desired. Competency demonstrated through technical testing. Ability to communicate effectively for manufacturing production processes. Forklift experience preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Physical Capability: Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, including bending, lifting, and pushing weights of up to 45-106 pounds or more.

Working Conditions

A heavy industrial environment, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, dirt.

Pay and Benefits

Starting pay is $30.93 hourly. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
