Electroencephalographic EEG Technician II

Responsibilities

• Attaches, connects, and operates electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electroencephalograph machine.
• Reviews patient's record and instructs patients prior to procedures.
• Maintains EEG equipment and supplies.
• Edits and forwards EEG results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
• Maintains accurate and timely results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Collaborates with medical staff to interpret test results and provide necessary information.
• Contributes to patient care by delivering precise and reliable diagnostic data.
• Follows safety protocols during EEG procedures.
• Provides patient education regarding EEG procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
• Registered Electroencephalography Technician (REEGT)
