Electroencephalogram Technician II

Essential Job Functions

• Performs routine EEG tests, including impedance checks, photic stimulation, hyperventilation, and video monitoring.
• Identifies and eliminates or reduces artifact contamination of the recording of the EEG and video.
• Maintains EEG equipment by conducting calibrations and troubleshooting.
• Prepares test reports and maintains test data.
• Explains EEG procedure and preparation to patient.

Education & Experience

• Required: Graduate from an accredited training program in Neurodiagnostic or a combination of education and experience.

Licensure/Certification/Listing

• Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
