About the role
The Department of BGMC Neurophysiology seeks an Electroneurodiagnostic Tech I to prepare patients for and conduct routine Electroneurodiagnostic (END) procedures under the supervision of the laboratory supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Collections data pertinent to the interpretation of test results
- Assists senior technologists or medical staff with complex recordings
Requirements
- Education: Associate of Applied Science relevant to END program, with END program certificate (no work experience required) or Bachelor of Science inclusive of in neuroscience with six months EEG experience in the last two years, OR Master of Science in neuroscience with six months EEG experience in the last two years.
- Credentials: REEGT Electorencephalogram within 30 months required. Must obtain a registry/certification offered by ABRET (e.g., REEGT, REPT, CNIM, CLTM) within 2.5 years from date of hire.
- Experience: No experience if associate's degree with END Certificate required, OR 6 months of experience with a BS or MS in Neuroscience and six months of EEG experience within the past two years required. 2 years of experience related neurodiagnostic field (must have at least one neurodiagnostic board certificate) preferred OR 1 year of experience performing routine and complex EEG's (AAS and BS candidates) preferred.
