Electro/Mechanical Technician - Welder/ Mechanic
Job Duties And Qualifications
- Safe work history & enthusiasm for safe work practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Strong mechanical skill set including proficiency with hand tools, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, performing preventive maintenance tasks, plumbing, and carpentry
- Ability to layout and install piping, equipment, and other mechanical systems based on construction drawings and specifications
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment and method based on requirements
- Proficiency in various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and arc welding
- Proficiency in welding carbon and stainless-steel pipe
- Proficiency in soldering and brazing copper pipe
- Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Evaluate and inspect welded surfaces, structures, and components to discover flaws
- Professional Certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus
- Load, transport, and unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies using forklift
- Experienced in operating aerial lifts
- Time management skills
- Good organizational skills

- Able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends
- Self-starter needing minimal direction
About the Role
Glen Raven is a global leader in the manufacturing of performance fabrics. This position is available for an Electro/Mechanical Technician with Welding experience.
Requirements
Regular hours for this position are 1st shift, 7am to 3pm and will include weekend work. Applicants must be able to be flexible with work schedule.
Qualifications
Starting pay rate is $27.64 plus increases based on experience and training. Candidates must have a strong mechanical aptitude. They must be able to interpret schematics and weld various metals and alloys. The successful candidate must have demonstrated the skills and traits listed below with at least 3 years of experience installing / welding structural and piping systems.
