Responsibilities
- Operates in on-site and on-call capacities as per the production and field support demand of the Devices and Systems departments.
- Builds, installs and repairs equipment, and trains end users on how to maintain gas systems for Airgas and its customers nationwide.
- Performs quality control of equipment to ensure performance rates and compliance with established specifications.
- Possesses knowledge and ability across mechanical, electrical and IT fields as applicable to various gas systems and devices.
- Communicates the purpose and value of these Airgas systems with a variety of clientele.
- Provides technical support to end users.
- Works under moderate supervision.
- Assembles, repairs, and maintains all Airgas systems.
- Electrical/Mechanical expertise in installing, maintaining, testing and troubleshooting equipment.
- Differentiates and resolves equipment, electrical mechanical and IT related issues providing root causes and mitigation actions.
- Liaises with Production, Management, Engineering, IT and safety personnel at all sites.
- Efficiently plans and executes all service requirements in the field while implementing new installs nationwide.
- Performs PCB Testing.
- Provides technical service support via phone and email.
- Diagnoses, tests, or analyzes the performance of electrical components, assemblies, or systems.
- Sets up and operates standard or specialized testing equipment.
- Obtains and evaluates all relevant information to handle product and service.
- Pack and process orders for shipments.
- Inventory management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with Google suite (Docs, Sheets).
- Able to save and maintain electronic files.
- Advanced computer skills (IP network connectivity).
- Network skills (basic router setup).
- Up to 40% travel required.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in a technical field a plus.
- A+ or MCSE a plus.
