Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in pre-shift meeting, receive PM's and work orders, and prepare tools for the day.
  • Utilize digital tools and tablets to input data into SAP and other online tools including Digital Manufacturing Operations (DMO).
  • Maintain operations by answering calls on equipment, identifying defects, executing preventative and predictive maintenance plans.
  • Review maintenance plans and optimize to drive reliability of equipment.
  • Coach operator skills with adjustment/changeover improvements in existing processes.
  • Create and maintain various forms of paperwork such as notifications, work orders, breakdown work orders, and checking tasks in SAP.
  • Participate in problem solving for line improvements, deviations, safety, and quality failures.
  • Ensure housekeeping in work area by sweeping, cleaning tools and shop equipment, and keeping the work area clean.
  • Review required spare parts to ensure accurate bill of materials.
  • Create and validate technical procedures.
  • Use and redline engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical).
  • Communicate to the next shift by handing off breakdown work and documenting completed and remaining tasks in SAP.
  • Enter time in SAP and put tools away.

Requirements

This position is considered safety sensitive under Act 593(B). It requires the ability to work independently, adapt, and solve problems. Close attention to detail and a work pace above normal are essential. The role demands a multi-skilled individual capable of troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical and electrical abnormalities on all factory equipment. Proactive maintenance and preventive measures are key responsibilities. The candidate should have the ability to create and maintain various forms of paperwork and communicate effectively with the next shift.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with digital tools and tablets, as well as proficiency in SAP and DMO, is preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is beneficial.
