Schedule

Third shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a team-oriented, safety-conscious environment; participate in company safety programs, inspections, observations, and JSA risk assessments.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specification documentation, and machinery manuals.
  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and adjust electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Apply NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements to facility tasks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Calibrate various pieces of equipment throughout the facility.
  • Troubleshoot and correct electronic instrumentation problems (thermocouples, motor tachometers, temperature controllers, pressure transducers).
  • Support production by responding immediately to breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Communicate with coworkers and individuals from other departments to resolve problems and issues.
  • Interpret colors accurately.
  • Repair and troubleshoot machinery used in the production of padded polystyrene trays (thermoforming, padding, extrusion equipment).
  • Operate shop equipment, forklifts, and yard equipment safely.
  • Ensure work meets high standards of craftsmanship, quality, proficiency, efficiency, and material utilization.
  • Conduct food safety and defense self-inspections; report deficiencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements

  • Two years of industrial experience in an electrical and mechanical environment.
  • Satisfactory completion of a trades program or a two-year Associate’s Degree is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient mathematical skills.
  • Ability to systematically troubleshoot problems and work under deadlines individually or as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and motor drives.
  • Proficient in the use of electrical multimeters.
