Electro-Mechanical Technician 3

Evening shift position: 1 pm–9 pm, Sunday–Thursday. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

About the role

Act as a material handling maintenance technician on all equipment installed at the DEMATIC-Ace Hardware, KC location. Perform day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and component lubrication.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Create and close work orders in an asset management system, documenting labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and determine resources needed to resolve them.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure specifications are met.
• Respond to service calls, correct equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or vocational technical training preferred.
• Specialized skill training/certification preferred.
• 2–3 years of troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.
• Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
• Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours.
• Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.

Working Conditions

• Small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures.
• Inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours.
• Wet or uneven surfaces.

Pay

Base pay range for this role is $28.00 to $33.50 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
