Shift hours: 10:00 pm – 6:30 am, Sunday night through Thursday night. Additional overtime may be required based on customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Effectively repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE) inclusive of belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and component lubrication.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures to aid in the efficient running of equipment.
- Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
- Create and complete detailed work orders in asset management system with appropriate data to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
- Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and understand the resources needed to resolve them.
- Locate and track spare parts from inventory to ensure minimal downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
- Respond to service calls; diagnose root causes to correct equipment failures and faults.
- Promptly identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to resolve them to ensure the smooth operation of facility equipment.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent experience; associate degree or vocational-technical training is desirable.
- Specialized skill training/certification is helpful.
- 2–3 years of troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.
- Proven experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities.
- Ability to lift and move material up to 50 pounds.
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
- Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours.
- Demonstrate flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
Working Conditions
- May include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
Pay
The base pay range for this role is $28 to $33.50 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
