Electro - Mechanical Repair Technician [Santa Ana]
About the role
Iteris is seeking an RMA Technician to perform product diagnosis, repairs, and service. Key responsibilities include diagnosing problems, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues.
Responsibilities
- Simulate, emulate, and troubleshoot customer's issues and repair or replace electronic components in a timely manner
- Provide detailed symptom descriptions for failures during functional tests to assist in component-level troubleshooting
- Adhere to manufacturing process instructions and other established procedures during the manufacturing process to produce a quality product
- Follow all applicable work instructions to perform testing and repair processes
- Identify and discuss problems (technical and process) encountered while testing/troubleshooting with manager and engineering staff, recommending solutions to improve work efficiency
- Escalate product and process issues to management and assist with problem resolution
- Follow all corporate, safety, and production procedures and regulations, maintaining a clean and orderly workstation
- Perform additional duties as given or assigned, including working longer hours as needed
Requirements
- High School degree or GED
- Over three (3) years working in a manufacturing environment
- Over two (2) years experience with RMA transactions and process handling
- Troubleshooting, identification of electronic and mechanical failure modes
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, written orders, specifications, blueprints, and instructions
- Fluent in the English language: Ability to read, write, and speak English well
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Support assembly as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Bilingual (English/Spanish), a plus
- Ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling objects/materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds)

Pay
Iteris anticipates paying an hourly rate between $25.00 and $28.00 for this role. Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
