About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead to support and oversee maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment. This role combines hands-on maintenance expertise with team leadership responsibilities, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe, productive work environment. The Maintenance Lead serves as a key resource for maintenance personnel, production teams, and other departments, and may assume supervisory responsibilities during the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor or during off-shift operations.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Support
- Provide daily guidance and support to maintenance team members.
- Coordinate maintenance work activities and prioritize repair requests.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related issues during assigned shifts.
- Communicate equipment concerns and operational issues to management and maintenance staff.
- Act as a liaison between Maintenance, Production, Shipping, and Sales departments.
- Report shift activities, issues, and updates to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Step into a supervisory role when needed.
- Equipment Maintenance & Reliability
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical production equipment.
- Assist in diagnosing equipment failures and implementing corrective actions.
- Support preventive maintenance (PM) programs and planned maintenance schedules.
- Help ensure production equipment is operating efficiently to meet manufacturing goals.
- Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance technicians.
- Parts & Inventory Management
- Assist in identifying and sourcing replacement parts and maintenance supplies.
- Coordinate with purchasing personnel to order required materials.
- Support the management and maintenance of spare parts inventory.
- Work to minimize production downtime through proactive planning.
- Safety & Quality
- Promote and enforce safe work practices and company safety policies.
- Ensure employees follow proper machine operation and forklift procedures.
- Assist in conducting routine safety meetings.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Support quality standards by ensuring maintenance work is completed accurately and effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum EM1 level experience, with EM2-level experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience working with industrial machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to coordinate personnel and resources to meet production objectives.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply technical information.
- Basic computer skills, including:
- Work order management
- Inventory data entry
- Email communication
- Maintenance tracking systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous leadership, lead technician, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting preventive maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with inventory management and parts procurement.

Pay
Pay Range: $33.00–$39.00 per hour, with a $2.00/hour shift differential for 2nd shift (2:45 PM–10:45 PM) and 3rd shift (10:45 PM–7:00 AM).
Schedule
- 2nd shift: 2:45 PM–10:45 PM
- 3rd shift: 10:45 PM–7:00 AM
