About the role
This position leads field operations for service and repair of farm and construction equipment, emphasizing technical expertise, integrity, and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Supervise diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance for diverse equipment fleets.
- Manage daily service department operations, ensuring professional accountability and high-quality service.
- Coordinate on-site customer service calls, delivering accurate mechanical solutions promptly.
- Improve shop workflow efficiency and mentor junior mechanics to enhance team skills.
- Enforce safety standards across all field activities, utilizing diagnostic tools and protective equipment.
- Collaborate with operations leaders to streamline parts procurement and reduce machinery downtime.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a farm or heavy construction equipment mechanic.
- Proven leadership in service operations with strong personal character and integrity.
- Expertise in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel powertrain systems.
- High School Diploma or GED; willingness to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Skills
- Technical training or apprenticeship in heavy equipment or agricultural mechanics.
- Experience managing logistics or mechanical crews.
