About the role

The Maintenance Technician identifies and resolves equipment issues to minimize production downtime, responding to CMMS work-order tickets and performing preventive maintenance on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Locate and resolve the source of problems by observing machines in operation.
  • Ensure proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by maintaining electric motors (AC, DC, Servos, and Stepper), pneumatic systems, conveyors, and mechanical systems.
  • Complete preventive maintenance requirements on schedule to ensure consistent operation of machinery.
  • Use CMMS for parts and work-order tracking.
  • Reference operator and maintenance manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
  • Adjust equipment using hand tools and precision measuring devices.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions with multi-meters and other test instruments.
  • Make minor modifications to equipment as needed.
  • Participate in the installation of new equipment.
  • Confer with production teams on issue resolutions.
  • Maintain a neat and tidy work area.
  • Participate in the company 5S program.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; undergraduate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining industrial machinery and support equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Ability to make precise adjustments to achieve predetermined results.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime to accommodate production needs.

Skills

  • Fundamental understanding of machine automation controls.
  • Experience installing electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Prior experience in printing technology, packaging, fulfillment, or plastic card manufacturing industry.

Pay

$31+ per hour, depending on experience.
