About the Role

The Electrified Powertrain Controls Engineer will work within the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in the Product Release Centre (PRC) Electrified Propulsion Controls, contributing to the development of electrified powertrain systems for current and next-generation Stellantis vehicles. The ideal candidate is a strong team player able to work in a fast-paced environment, with foundational experience in control strategies applied to powertrain subsystems (electric motors, battery, thermal, charging, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Reading high-level requirements related to vehicle-level behavior
  • Supporting control algorithm design to meet functional objectives
  • Implementing control algorithms in Matlab-Simulink, C, etc.
  • Supporting calibration dataset development
  • Performing MIL/SIL pre-verification activities
  • Supporting code generation and proto build activities
  • Supporting HIL/vehicle validation using ETAS INCA tools
  • Supporting issue analysis and resolution
  • Participating in technical meetings and data analysis
  • Supporting documentation and process development
  • Supporting Calibration & Application activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or other relevant engineering field
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle and powertrain functions
  • Exposure to modeling, simulation, or validation
  • Strong problem-solving mindset
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Basic understanding of electrified systems and architectures
  • Fundamentals of control systems and modeling
  • Matlab / Simulink knowledge
  • Basic embedded C/C++ understanding
  • Exposure to CAN tools and vehicle communication
  • Basic understanding of verification activities (MIL/SIL/HIL)
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Strong willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a global and fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in relevant engineering field
