Electrician - Weekend Shift

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with local codes and company standards.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and manuals to complete work accurately.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs, ensuring compliance with safety codes.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility electrical systems to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support operational efficiency.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety procedures at all times.
  • Document maintenance, repair activities, and parts usage in maintenance management systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending upgrades to electrical systems or processes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Licensed Electrician in South Carolina or ability to obtain license preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrician experience.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC codes, electrical safety standards, and industrial equipment.
  • Proficiency in using electrical test instruments, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts as needed to support operations.

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb ladders for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments with varying noise levels, temperatures, and machinery.
