Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with local codes and company standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and manuals to complete work accurately.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs, ensuring compliance with safety codes.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility electrical systems to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support operational efficiency.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety procedures at all times.
- Document maintenance, repair activities, and parts usage in maintenance management systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending upgrades to electrical systems or processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.
- Licensed Electrician in South Carolina or ability to obtain license preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrician experience.
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes, electrical safety standards, and industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in using electrical test instruments, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts as needed to support operations.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments with varying noise levels, temperatures, and machinery.
