About the role
The position exists to serve as the Master Electrician for MCF-Faribault (MCF-FRB). This position is a working supervisor that will provide supervision of electrical staff and any other staff performing electrical work.
Responsibilities
- Direct, evaluate, and schedule tasks for licensed electricians and contractors to ensure all work meets Minnesota and National Electrical Codes
- Prepare, modify, and monitor facility construction plans, blueprints, and electrical specifications while collaborating closely with architects and engineers
- Serve as the facility's Master Electrician of Record to troubleshoot system failures, manage preventative maintenance, and enforce OSHA safety regulations
Requirements
- Current Minnesota Class A Master Electrician License
- Advanced knowledge of relevant electrical codes
- Human relation and communication skills to coordinate with staff, trades supervisors, contractors and vendors
- Outstanding oral and written communication abilities sufficient to share information to a variety of audiences
- Basic computer skills sufficient to utilize Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook and update/retrieve information from databases

Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) or more years of supervisory/lead work experience providing direction to skilled trades staff
- Experience repairing and maintaining frequency drives, soft starts, programmable controllers and similar equipment
- Experience with Archibus work order management system or similar work order system
Physical Requirements
- The completion of pre-placement physical components may be required for this position.
