About the role

As a Senior Electrician, you will play a critical role in the layout and wiring of electrical components used in tooling systems. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who ensures proper function and compliance with electrical standards while delivering high-quality results. You will interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and technical manuals to complete projects accurately, troubleshoot electrical issues, and recommend adjustments or repairs. Additionally, you will lead the installation of pipe and wire on tools and may coach or advise less senior team members.
Responsibilities
- Layout and wire electrical components for tooling systems in compliance with electrical standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and technical manuals to complete projects accurately.
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, recommending adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Lead the installation of pipe and wire on tools.
- Coach or advise less senior team members on technical aspects of the work.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
- 5+ years of electrical experience in a machine tool shop.
- Knowledge of Electrical Standards, tooling assembly, and setup.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and successfully layout equipment according to blueprints.
- Regularly stand, walk, bend, and twist; use hand tools or equipment; climb ladders or use a lift.
- Occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment
- On-site at local Paslin locations in Pontiac, MI (not available for remote work).
- Operates in a manufacturing site environment with moving equipment and machinery (safety-sensitive role).
- Typical work schedule: 6:00 AM to 2:30–4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
- May require overtime, including early starts, late finishes, or weekend work to meet business needs.
- No travel typically required.
