About the role

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be part of the Maintenance Team in the Packaging Department at our Ft. Worth Brewery, working in a union environment. You will contribute to the department by operating and maintaining equipment to ensure it runs efficiently with minimal breakdowns. This includes working with PLCs, VFDs, motor control installation/troubleshooting, and handling power up to and including 480 volts. You will also support the technical growth of our operators. This position reports to the maintenance team leader and will initially be assigned to 2nd or 3rd shift. Must be available to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-up, adjustment, timing, troubleshooting, replacement, and programming of electrical equipment using ladder logic, electrical prints, and/or schematics.
• Dismantle, inspect, and rebuild electrical assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications or production requirements.
• Perform predictive and corrective maintenance during planned maintenance windows and unplanned downtime events throughout the shift.
• Complete root cause analysis and breakdown elimination activities for all failures and implement corrective actions to prevent similar failures in the future.
• Provide technical support when called upon to management, engineers, and contractors/project teams.

Requirements

• At least four years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a team-based, high-speed manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED, and at least 21 years of age.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, installing devices, and terminating connections based on diagrams.
• Experience with Wonderware, Modicon, and Allen-Bradley devices.
• Experience troubleshooting and installing VFDs and electric motors.
