About the Role

The Electrician will be accountable for the efficient operation of all electrical-related equipment and instrumentation throughout the facility, both inside and outside of the building. This position is also responsible for the successful utilization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System. The role involves contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information and items of value. A review of criminal history is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Experience with rotary fillers, casepackers, palletizers, or wrappers (robotics highly preferred).
• Read and interpret ladder logic diagrams, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and create layouts as required.
• Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install equipment ranging from low voltage to 480 volt/277 volt circuits, motor controls, control logic, and power wiring.
• Perform new major installations, repairs, general maintenance, and use necessary tools and instruments.
• Obtain parts from storeroom and assign parts to work orders using the computerized maintenance management system.
• Follow safety instructions, maintain housekeeping procedures, and notify supervisors in emergency situations.
• Participate in developing Standard Operating Procedures for equipment and maintenance tasks.
• Assist in capturing and maintaining accurate equipment information in the Computerized Maintenance Management System database.
• Support installation and upkeep of equipment and piping labels as required by plant policy.
• Develop personal skills through ongoing training at the plant and external classes.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of an effective Preventative Maintenance program.
• Report and document equipment breakdowns or mis-operation, providing troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Record information for Work Order closure, including time spent, work details, additional work required, and parts used.

Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year of work experience in maintenance.
• Industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of work experience in maintenance.
• At least one (1) year of experience with manufacturing processes (e.g., valves, pumps, pigging systems).

Schedule

6:00pm - 6:00am. 3-2-3 alternating schedule with every other weekend off.
