Electrician Maintenance EC01-EC08, Shift D & B, RVI-Hanceville, AL
Rotating schedules every 8 weeks: Shift D (Sunday–Wednesday, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.) and Shift B (Thursday–Sunday, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.).
About the role
This position performs troubleshooting, repair, and technical support for all phases of the operation. It is a technical career role requiring proficiency in multiple skill clusters, including electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes. The ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of management and operations is essential.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and systems.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing processes.
- Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Operate and troubleshoot PLC systems and industrial control instrumentation.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members and management to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.
- Proficiency in Windows-based software (Outlook, Excel, Word), document organization, and SAP Plant Maintenance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with high-level critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with AC/DC circuits, industrial electrical systems, and electrical safety procedures.
- Knowledge of electronic devices, including industrial semiconductors, solid-state drives, and industrial control systems.
- Experience with PLC systems, control instrumentation, and data collection transducers.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, including bearings, gears, clutches, belts, and seals.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in technical fields or techniques.
- Basic microcomputer skills for understanding microprocessor operations and interfacing.
- Experience with PLC operation, including system configuration, hardware, relay-equivalent instructions, timers, counters, data manipulation, and advanced programming.
- Skills or training in electronic motor drive technologies, including servo-motors, encoders, tachometers, electronic/mechanical brakes, clutches, closed-loop systems, DC servo, AC variable frequency, AC servo, and stepper systems.
Work Environment
The role involves frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, outdoor weather, electrical shock risks, and vibration. Occasional exposure to toxic/caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level is usually loud. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Travel: 1–5 trips per year outside the assigned location.
Pay
Pay range: $22.90–$32.75 per hour, plus a $2.00 shift premium.
