Electrician Maintenance - 2nd & 3rd Shift (Sign-On Bonus)

Responsibilities

• Works from verbal and written instructions, blueprints, and sketches to complete work orders and PMs.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and systems for emergency repairs.
• Applies skills, experience, and general knowledge to adjust, repair, dissemble, replace, and reassemble plant equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance routines and inspections.
• Utilizes hand tools and common powered hand and shop tools.
• Approaches job duties with a sense of accuracy and urgency.

Requirements

• Ability to perform a task requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing and extending arms.
• Ability to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift.
• Ability to work around animal blood and/or body parts.
• Ability to work in cold areas (approx. 20-40°F) and warm areas (over 100°F).
• Ability to work in a wet/humid environment.
• Ability to work with a knife (if trained).
• Ability to work while wearing a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, which can weigh up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work with strong odors/smells.
• Ability to work in a noisy environment.
• Ability to climb, move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and twist repetitively throughout your entire shift.
• Ability to walk long distances.
• Repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks, including scissor lifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Ability to work with a variety of chemicals, solvents, and understand/abide by the corresponding Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Ability to read, write the following: work orders, instructions, daily reports and machine manuals.
• Willingness to pass a physical to wear respirators or self-contained breathing apparatus.
• Ability to receive and relate orders/information using various communication devices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Possess the ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors.
• Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift or scissor lift preferred.
• Displays sound judgment, organizational skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
