Job Summary
ConocoPhillips holds approximately 782,000 unconventional net acres in the Delaware Basin, spanning west Texas through southeast New Mexico. Current development activity targets prospects in the Avalon, Bone Springs, Wolfcamp, and Woodford formations while balancing leasehold obligations and permit terms. We operated ten rigs and three frac crews on average during 2025, resulting in 176 operated wells drilled and 161 operated wells brought online. During 2025, net production averaged 661 MBOED.
Position Overview
As an Electrician, you will support safe, reliable electrical systems that keep production and facility operations running efficiently. As part of the Integrated Operations team, you will work closely with the Electrical Foreman and field teams to install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment that directly impacts uptime, safety, and operational performance. This role is best suited for someone who takes pride in hands-on problem solving, works well in a field environment, and wants to continue building technical expertise across electrical and instrumentation systems. Your contributions will help prevent equipment failures, improve system reliability, and support safe operations across the asset.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation equipment used in production and facility operations, including: Tank level sensors, pressure instrumentation, and safety switches
- Electric motors, pumps, motor starters, and generators
- Control panels, voltage regulators, rectifiers, and transformers
- Gas detection systems, fire and safety alarms, and automation timers
- Communication systems, chromatographs, and electrical conduit systems
- Diagnose equipment and system issues and implement solutions that restore functionality, improve reliability, and reduce repeat failures
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to support the design, specification, and installation of new electrical equipment and system upgrades
- Contribute to the development and upkeep of electrical standards, procedures, and specifications to support consistent and compliant field execution
- Ensure all electrical installations, repairs, and modifications meet applicable codes and standards, including: NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), NEC (National Electrical Code), NESC (National Electrical Safety Code)
- Follow all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and support a culture of safe work practices in the field

Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Current/valid driver’s license
- 3 or more years of experience in electrical controls or a related electrical field
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word)
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, including: P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), One-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and instrument loop diagrams
- Working knowledge of applicable technical standards (API, NEC, NFPA, IEEE)
- Able to meet the physical demands and work environment requirements of the position, as described in the job description, with or without reasonable accommodation
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Outdoor work in remote locations with exposure to varying weather conditions, including temperature extremes
- Frequent walking, bending, stooping, climbing (up to 24 feet), and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
- May involve working alone for extended periods
- Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and strict adherence to safety protocols
- May require weekend work and participation in an on-call rotation
- This position is assigned to remote field operations in Southeast New Mexico
