Electrician Lead

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Current State of Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician License
• Seven (7) years of experience in the trade
• Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language
• Class B CDL or the ability to obtain within six months of employment
• Clear and acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver’s requirement
• Working knowledge of codes and ordinances concerning Electrical systems
• Ability to read, comprehend, and edit specifications and prints for new constructions

Pay

$30.67 per hour (HS12 Salary, based on verifiable job-related experience as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year)

Schedule

261 days per year

Responsibilities

• Perform all responsibilities of an Electrician I-IV
• Maintain a good working relationship with fellow employees
• Serve as first contact for problems, concerns, or grievances
• Make recommendations to the Electrical Foreman on addressing disciplinary issues
• Keep the Foreman abreast of daily work activities
• Coordinate and assist the department with modifications, work orders, emergencies, and large projects as needed to complete assignments
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Management Team
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function

• Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds
• Be available to work different schedules or shifts to accomplish tasks
• Be available for after-hour demands, subject to 24-hour responsibility
• Maintain emotional control under stress
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to keep information confidential
