About the role

Maintenance Technician in a food manufacturing setting, focusing on troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems to ensure reliable operations and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Independently troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, including PLCs and Allen-Bradley systems
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and control diagrams
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic testing equipment safely
• Ensure process reliability and safety compliance, including Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Document work orders and maintenance activities accurately
• Respond to unplanned maintenance needs and execute follow-up tasks
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and communicate updates effectively

Requirements

• Electrical/Maintenance Journeyman License in Michigan
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience
• Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, ladder logic, and reading schematics
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to work off-shift and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with food processing environments and calibration tools
• Computer literacy
• Willingness to learn SAP/PPE systems
