Electrician - Journeyman

About the role

Maintenance Technician responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment. Ensures equipment reliability, performs preventative maintenance, and responds to unplanned repairs while following safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control schematics
• Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electronic controls, preferably with Allen-Bradley systems
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment issues
• Maintain accurate work records and communicate updates effectively
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to unplanned repairs

Requirements

• Electrical/Maintenance Journeyman License in Michigan
• Three years of manufacturing maintenance experience
• Basic programming skills and troubleshooting knowledge, including PLC and Ladder logic
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to work off-shift and weekends as needed

Preferred Skills

• Computer literacy and familiarity with SAP/PPE systems
• Experience in food processing environments
• Proficiency with test and calibration tools
