Electrician III

About the role

The Electrician III position serves as the primary electrician for the Savannah River Ecology Lab maintenance department.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary electrician for Savannah River Ecology Lab maintenance department. (35%)
• Work with general maintenance mechanics completing preventive maintenance requirements as needed. (30%)
• Work with contractors (HVAC, electrical, construction) to help facilitate their work for our facility and Interface with Savannah River Site contractors as needed on behalf of our facility. (20%)
• Ensure all work adheres to Savannah River Site DOE/NNSA standards. Make urgent or unplanned supplies purchases for repairs. (15%)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience
• High School diploma or equivalent and five years experience (preferred)

Qualifications

• Electrical and high voltage experience
• Ability to provide general maintenance, construction, and HVAC support to Savannah River Ecology Lab maintenance crew
• Ability to work with electricity including voltages up to 480 volts
• Ability to assist with general facility renovation and construction
• Communication - Clear speaking, writing, active listening, conveying information effectively

Physical Demands

Lift 50 lbs and work outside in various climate conditions.
