Electrician II or III

You'll work with PLCs, industrial controls, microprocessor systems, and complex circuits to troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade plant equipment and facility systems.

Pay
Starting at $26.90/hour for a level II or $30.13/hour for a level III

Responsibilities
- Maintain, install, and repair equipment, electrical systems, and facility electrical systems
- Utilize electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gauges
- Maintain and utilize maintenance systems for work orders, breakdown reporting, and track machine modifications
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and light fixtures
- Replace damaged or broken components
- Troubleshoot electrical equipment
- Program Programmable Logic Controllers using basic and ladder logic (Electrician II) or advanced ladder logic (Electrician III)
- Originate instruction documents for preventive maintenance or electrical system verification (Electrician III)
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language
- Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) license
- Knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and algebra
- Familiarity with converting decimals to fractions and vice versa
- Familiarity with converting units (imperial to SI, etc.)
- Understanding of microprocessor hardware and software configurations
- Ability to perform basic (Electrician II) or complex (Electrician III) analog and digital circuit design
- Prior experience using software for Preventive Maintenance (PM) and work orders (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge of how to use multi-meter, scope, basic hand tools, and portable power tools
Qualifications
Electrician II
- Five (5) years of experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment or machinery, or comparable experience with trade school or training
- Ability to read/write wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Analytical diagnosis of problems
- Thorough understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Advanced knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gauges
- Advanced knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentation
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic problems
Electrician III
- Seven (7) years of experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment or machinery, or comparable experience with trade school or training
- Ability to read, write, interpret, and draw wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Analytical diagnosis of complex problems
- Understanding of electrical laws and principles (KVL, Ohm’s Law, Power Law, etc.)
- Thorough understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Expert knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and temperature and pressure gauges
- Advanced knowledge of industrial controls and instrumentation
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex problems
- Ability to make changes to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using advanced ladder logic
