About the role

This is advanced electrical work as lead worker over Electricians and Electrician Trainees.

Responsibilities

• Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, completion of a trade school or apprenticeship program in electrical work and a minimum of three years’ journeyman level electrical experience, including one-year supervisory experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
• Must possess a Journeyman Electrician certificate from the Board of Electrical Examiners.
• Must possess either a Master Electrician Certification from the State of Alabama Board of Electrical Examiners OR International Municipal Signal Association Level II Certification (or higher).
• Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence. City of Mobile requires possession of a Class A commercial driver’s license with appropriate endorsements, including air brake endorsement, if applicable.

• Education: 8th grade, 9th grade, 10th grade, 11th grade, High School or GED, 1 year of college, 2 years of college, Associate Degree, 3 years of college, 4 years of college, Bachelor's degree, Bachelor's degree and postgraduate coursework toward a Master's Degree, Master's degree, Master's degree with additional coursework toward a Doctoral degree, Juris Doctor, Doctoral degree.
• Journeyman Level Electrical Experience: None, 6 months, 1 year, 1 year and 6 months, 2 years, 2 years and 6 months, 3 years, 3 years and 6 months, 4 years, 4 years and 6 months, 5 years, 6 years, 7 years, 8 years, 9 years, 10 years, 11 years, 12 years or more.
• Supervisory Experience: None, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, 6 years, 7 years, 8 years, 9 years, 10 years, 11 years, 12 or more years.

City of Mobile: $44,735 - $71,516

Mobile Area Water and Sewer System: $49,295 - $78,805
