About the role
This is advanced electrical work as lead worker over Electricians and Electrician Trainees.
Responsibilities
- Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, completion of a trade school or apprenticeship program in electrical work and a minimum of three years’ journeyman level electrical experience, including one-year supervisory experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
- Must possess a Journeyman Electrician certificate from the Board of Electrical Examiners.
- Must possess either a Master Electrician Certification from the State of Alabama Board of Electrical Examiners OR International Municipal Signal Association Level II Certification (or higher).
- Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence. City of Mobile requires possession of a Class A commercial driver’s license with appropriate endorsements, including air brake endorsement, if applicable.

- Journeyman Level Electrical Experience: None, 6 months, 1 year, 1 year and 6 months, 2 years, 2 years and 6 months, 3 years, 3 years and 6 months, 4 years, 4 years and 6 months, 5 years, 6 years, 7 years, 8 years, 9 years, 10 years, 11 years, 12 years or more.
- Supervisory Experience: None, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, 6 years, 7 years, 8 years, 9 years, 10 years, 11 years, 12 or more years.
