Electrician I - Night (10 Months)/Day (2 Months)

About the role

This position is a semi-skilled electrical work in the installation, repair, and maintenance activities throughout the Prince William County School System. This position performs work under the general supervision of a journey electrical mechanic, crew chief, or shop foreman.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment
• Perform routine inspections and tests on electrical systems and equipment
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Communicate effectively with other tradespeople and supervisors to coordinate work activities
• Document work performed and report findings to supervisors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in electrical work preferred

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards
• Basic troubleshooting skills

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
