Electrician I

Location: Cambridge, Ohio | Department: Maintenance | Reports to: Maintenance Manager

About the role

Maintain, improve, and install electrical wiring and schematics for plant and facility equipment. Work with Millwrights in the installation of new equipment and attachments. Troubleshoot electrical issues to identify root cause and take appropriate action to correct them. Respond quickly to downtime with effective electrical troubleshooting. Handle multiple responsibilities while adapting to changing priorities, ensuring all tasks receive proper attention.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical support for new and existing machines by reading schematics, troubleshooting, and installing new wires and electrical fixtures.
• Implement repairs and/or improvements on existing processes and equipment.
• Assist Electrical Engineer in electrical projects or improvements.
• Work with 120, 220, and 420 volt circuits.
• Work with electrical circuits and sensors.
• Assist in performing safety analyses on supported equipment.
• Initiate action to prevent violations of Federal-Mogul Integrity Policy.
• Comply with location’s EH&S policy, legal and operational controls, and ISO 14001 procedures.
• Report and, if necessary, stop any activity that does not conform to policy or may cause injury.
• Provide support as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman’s Card preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience as an electrician in a manufacturing environment, working on heavy machines, industrial wiring, and troubleshooting.
