Electrician I

What a Day in the Life

• Assemble underdash harnesses, switch panels, circuit boards, and various electrical components
• Program lights according to engineering specifications
• Troubleshoot 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry
• Test products to ensure they meet specifications
• Read and verify engineering drawings and layouts
• Perform functionality checks on air horns, sirens, light packages, flash patterns, and door locks
• Resolve quality issues

  Requirements

  • Prior 1-2 years of automotive electrical experience in a manufacturing setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and layouts
  • Knowledge of both 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry
  • Proficiency in using a tape measure for precise measurements
  • Experience with common hand tools and power tools such as drills and screw guns
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
  • Excellent communication and following directions abilities
  • Teamwork skills
  • Successful completion of drug and background screenings

    Physical Demands

    • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders and scaffolding
    • Able to lift and move 40 lbs. without assistance
    • Able to work with arms above head
    • Able to operate and understand protective safety equipment
    • Able to work in non-temperature-controlled environments
