What a Day in the Life
- Assemble underdash harnesses, switch panels, circuit boards, and various electrical components
- Program lights according to engineering specifications
- Troubleshoot 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry
- Test products to ensure they meet specifications
- Read and verify engineering drawings and layouts
- Perform functionality checks on air horns, sirens, light packages, flash patterns, and door locks
- Resolve quality issues
Requirements
- Prior 1-2 years of automotive electrical experience in a manufacturing setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and layouts
- Knowledge of both 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry
- Proficiency in using a tape measure for precise measurements
- Experience with common hand tools and power tools such as drills and screw guns
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- Excellent communication and following directions abilities
- Teamwork skills
- Successful completion of drug and background screenings
Physical Demands
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders and scaffolding
- Able to lift and move 40 lbs. without assistance
- Able to work with arms above head
- Able to operate and understand protective safety equipment
- Able to work in non-temperature-controlled environments
