About the role
The Department of Facilities Management is dedicated to creating, maintaining, and managing a physical environment that supports teaching, learning, and living at the university. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the campus infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Maintains, repairs, installs, and troubleshoots various types of electrical equipment.
- Supervise work performed by external vendors/contractors.
- Writes and reviews technical specifications for equipment and projects by college and outside contractors.
- Acts as a liaison between University staff, external personnel, vendors, and contractors.
- Performs related duties such as requisitioning supplies and equipment.
- Maintains paper and electronic records and prepares reports.
- Submits personal time and attendance paperwork and ensures minimum staffing.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of control systems.
- Maintains inventory levels.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of electronic work order system and PM systems.
Requirements
- Current and valid Massachusetts Journeyman or Master's Electrician License.
- Work experience in an industrial or commercial setting.
- A minimum of three (3) professional references.
Benefits
This is a full-time, 12-month AFSCME position with a salary range of $2,439.63 bi-weekly (Grade 15, Step 6).
Pay

Schedule
Tuesday through Saturday, 08:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
