About the role

We perform installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast. Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks an Electrician for a project in Roanoke, VA. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3 months. #SIC On-Site

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable with blueprints, sketches and building plans pertaining to type of material
• Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Prepares layout, using voltage tester, wire strippers, level, pipe benders etc...
• Terminates panels utilizing LOTO
• Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
• Run cable tray, pulls wire and bend various types of conduit.
• Understands motor controls and metering.
• Size branch circuit overcurrent protection devices.
• Calculate loads for single phase and three-phase branch circuits.
• Rates information using standards, which can be measured or checked.
• Reviews and compares differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
• Follow directions, plans, and blueprints.
• Perform work overhead, beneath structure, and from various other positions as required by working conditions.
• Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
• Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Significant travel may be required.
• Performs other duties as required.
