About the role

Southern Home Services, a residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical company, is seeking a dynamic Service Electrician for M.E Flow, a Southern Home Services company. The role involves troubleshooting, installing, and repairing residential electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and codes, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical systems, identifying issues and executing repairs to restore functionality.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers.
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain problems, present repair or replacement options, and provide clear recommendations.
• Perform basic wiring tasks such as installing disconnects, whips, branch circuits, breakers, and other electrical accessories.
• Utilize tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in the electrical trade, ensuring proper handling and maintenance.
• Apply knowledge of electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliance with local, state, and national standards.
• Handle physical demands of the job, including pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, and lifting heavy objects safely.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Over 2 years of electrical experience, preferably focused on residential projects.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally; ability to climb ladders, access attics, navigate tight spaces, and perform fine‑detail work.
• Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch as required.
