About the Role

The Electrician Foreman manages electrical workflow on the shop floor, including task coordination, hands-on work, and safety enforcement. Reporting to the Director of Operations and VP of Manufacturing, this position contributes directly to production success and supports prefabrication efforts for field construction.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of the electrical team in the manufacturing shop.
  • Coordinate electrical installations, including wiring control panels, motors, and sensors.
  • Interpret and apply electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain compliance with NEC, company standards, and safety procedures.
  • Perform troubleshooting and functional testing of electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure material availability and workflow alignment.
  • Support cross-training initiatives and team development.

Requirements

  • Licensed electrician with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on electrical experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in an electrical or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of NEC and industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience operating lifts, forklifts, and other shop equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights using fall protection and other safety equipment.
  • Comfortable working in varying shop conditions (heat, cold, noise).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position and requires regular drug testing.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise).
  • Must have the physical stamina to perform repetitive motions and remain on feet for most of the shift.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools accurately and safely.

Preferences

  • Experience supporting fabrication teams in a manufacturing or construction setting.
  • Willingness to support tasks in insulation, welding, or painting as needed.
  • Interest in mentoring and cross-training team members.
