Electrician - Engineering - South
About the role
The Electrician provides electrical services, adhering to district/local/State/Federal objectives and standards. Specific responsibilities include identifying repair and/or replacement needs, installing, maintaining, and upgrading electrical systems and equipment. This position also responds to work requests promptly and professionally, completing assigned tasks. Additionally, the Electrician assists other Maintenance Mechanics in projects and ensures tools and materials are available at the job site.
Responsibilities
- Identify repair and/or replacement needs for electrical systems and equipment.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems and equipment.
- Respond to work requests promptly and professionally.
- Complete assigned tasks.
- Afford assistance to other Maintenance Mechanics in projects.
- Ensure tools and materials are available at the job site.
Requirements
- Required: Journeyman Electrician within 2 years of hire.
- Required: 3 years related experience.
- Required: Active Driver's License.
- Required: Journeyman Electrician within 2 years of hire.
- Required: STI Fire Stop Certified within 1 year of hire (provided by Cox yearly if not already certified).
Skills
- Proficient communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures.
- Knowledge of electrical system components.
