About The Role: We are currently hiring Commercial Electricians to work on commercial electrical projects in the Greater Auburn, AL area. Experience in commercial new construction or remodels is required. This role is ideal for strong commercial electricians. This is a full-time temporary position for a project expected to last approximately 3 months. You must live within commuting distance of Auburn, AL. Compensation: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour, pending experience and active state electrical license. Typical weeks are 40-50 hours. Job Type: Full-Time Travel: This role will be local / commuting distance to Auburn, AL Duties / Expectations: Advanced knowledge of electrical theoryUnderstands and applies NEC code knowledgeBasic understanding of NEC calculationsAble to perform any type of bend with all bender typesInstalls raceways, boxes, and cablesAssist with wire pulling activitiesInstalls light fixtures, devices, and cover platesAssists with installation of switchboardsInstalls panels, breakers, and transformersConnects branch circuits including terminations and panels and equipmentPerforms basic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systemsBasic knowledge of various control systems and componentsReads and interprets blueprints and schematicsPerforms other related duties as required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED6,000+ verifiable hours worked in the electrical tradeValid state issued Driver’s LicenseCurrent state Electrical Apprentice license When required by State Licensing entity Current OSHA 10 certificateAbility to pass a criminal background check Preferred Qualifications: Formal trade school or apprentice program completionCommercial experience to include new construction and remodel of big-box retail storesCurrent OSHA 30 CertificateCurrent Elevated Work Platform certificateCurrent First Aid & CPR certificateCurrent Lock Out/Tag Out Training certificate Requirements (Physical requirements will vary between job sites and peak periods) This Is a Field Job Using Many Physical Attributes. In Addition To Sitting, Standing, And Walking For Extended Periods Of Time, Employees Should Be Able To Do The Following: Walk, climb, lift, bend, squat, kneel, push, pull, twist, and reach overhead routinely and repetitively. Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.Regularly work from elevated spaces for extended periods of time, including ladders, man lifts, scaffolding, or reach booms. Climb ladder with 30 pounds.Balance on normal work surfaces.Comfortable in tight spaces (occasionally).Reach, handle, grasp, and pull cables, wires, tools, and equipment.Focus close up and far away (with or without correction). Distinguish color coded wires. Use peripheral vision and exercise depth perception. Flexible, adaptable, and embraces change.Good troubleshooting ability. Embraces quality control processes. Good attention to detail. Follows process and procedure.Speaking, hearing and seeing for communicating with employees and outside resources, as well as managing risks of a construction environment is required.
