Electrician

About the role

As a Licensed Electrician in the state of CT, you will execute electrical plans for well-functioning PV solar systems, install apparatus, fixtures, and equipment, connect wiring in circuits and networks, prepare and assemble conduits, troubleshoot hazards or malfunctions, and repair damaged units.

Responsibilities

• Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning PV solar systems
• Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
• Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair damaged units

Requirements

• Valid Electrical license in the state of CT
• Required experience as an electrician preferred
• Experience in residential or commercial electrical systems preferred
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter) and electrical drawings and blueprints
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts with paid overtime
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders and work on pitched residential roofs
• Ability to work in attics

Pay

$35–$45 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time work, 40+ hours per week with overtime pay for hours over 40 in a week.
