Electrician

About the role

Twin City Foods, Inc is a leading frozen vegetable producer committed to delivering high-quality, nutritious, and sustainably sourced frozen vegetables to consumers worldwide. We are seeking an Electrician to implement and oversee all electrical aspects of the plant and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair packaging, processing, and facility electrical systems.
• Plan and schedule projects, estimate time and materials, maintain records and files, and prepare reports.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of electrical theory, practices, procedures, equipment, tools, and materials.
• Understand and apply the National Electrical Code, state and local electric codes and ordinances.
• Install, repair, and perform maintenance of conduits, high and low voltage systems, lighting circuits, panels, regulators, emergency power generators, transformers, relays, circuit breakers, switch boxes, and related electrical fixtures and equipment within the facility per code.
• Observe and interpret meters and gauges and perform electrical system repair of boilers, refrigeration, and auxiliary equipment.
• Monitor and inspect the facility for electrical/mechanical problems and/or equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain departmental maintenance records and logs.
• Notify supervisory personnel of conditions affecting operation of equipment or safety of staff.
• Help maintain general cleanliness of maintenance/electrical areas.
• Work shifts and overtime as required.
• Attend meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions/courses to stay current with required electrical licensing/code changes, principles, practices, and industry trends.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support EHS department goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid Washington State Journeyman or Master Electrical License (preferred).
• Degree from an accredited 4-year college or electrical training institution in electronics, electrical theory, or a closely related field, and/or 5 years of recent, full-time experience in plant operations and maintenance in a similar production environment (preferably food processing) with responsibility as a journeyman level electrician or equivalent.
• First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities based on company needs, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Ability to read and write work instruction documents related to safety programs (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly motivated and results-oriented.

Skills

• Experience in machine and motor repair, building maintenance, panel wiring, computer use, computer networking, and PLC knowledge and programming.
• Essential physical abilities include standing, walking, and climbing stairs while working around industrial equipment.
• Ability to operate computers and tools required for electrical/controls troubleshooting.
• Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Able to work safely around moving equipment and in cold production areas with appropriate PPE.

Schedule
