Electrician

Job Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair all electrical systems.Inclusive of conduit, wiring, breakers, motors, electrical lighting, battery lighting, outlets, and electrical equipment.Power distribution and generation.Alarm and communication systems.Monitor and inspect work to insure compliance with work specifications, codes and regulations.Must be able to perform a variety of general maintenance repairs including but not limited to general repair work in the hospital and off-site facilities.Plan installations by reading blueprints and schematics.Keep work areas orderly, clean, and safe.Maintain adequate inventory of electrical supplies, tools, and parts.Coordinate work order lists with Engineering Supervisor.Coordinate with Construction Supervisor for scheduling and completion of in house construction projects.Timely input data and time into the maintenance work order system.Compliance with all Riverview Health and Engineering Department policies and procedures.Availability to assist Engineering staff by telephone or call-in.Other duties as assigned. Education Requirements Minimum: High School Diploma 4 years Electricians apprenticeship Preferred: Journeyman Electrician Experience Requirements Minimum: Three (3) years or more commercial or institutional experience as an ElectricianPreferred: Five (5) years or more as a Journeyman Electrician with Healthcare experience License/Certification Requirements Minimum: Completion of electrician’s apprenticeship and Journeyman statusValid driver's license Education Required Journeyperson or better in Electrician Preferred High School or better in OtherGED or better in Other Licenses & Certifications Required Driver License Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
