Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment in residential settings
- Evaluate electrical systems, appliances, and equipment to identify repair and replace needs
- Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes and safety standards
- Communicate with homeowners to explain services and address any concerns or questions
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on electrical systems to identify faults
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of services and repairs
- Keep up-to-date with the latest industry practices and technologies
Requirements
- Proven experience as a residential electrician or similar role
- Valid electrician's license and up-to-date certifications
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and local electrical codes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in electrical technology is a plus
