About the Role

The Leggett & Platt Wire Mill Division is seeking a Master Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently using advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment, such as multimeters and hand tools.
• Work with 480-volt three-phase AC, 240/500 VDC, VFD, and PLC systems.
• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
• Adhere to OSHA safety programs, including LO/TO, Arc Flash, Confined Space Entry, proper PPE usage, and machine safety.
• Follow electrical safety standards and best practices to prevent accidents, including proper grounding and circuit protection.
• Develop and execute emergency preparedness plans, including quick power shutdown procedures.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of on-the-job experience in electrical work or successful completion of a technical electrical training program.
• Industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in working with 480-volt three-phase AC, 240/500 VDC, VFD, and PLC systems.
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety programs, including LO/TO, Arc Flash, Confined Space Entry, and proper PPE usage.

Work Environment

• Exposure to hot and cold environments.
• Occasional exposure to weather elements and wet conditions.

Schedule

Primarily night shift, with the possibility of day shift openings as they become available.
